RUBINA DILAIK WEDS ABHINAV SHUKLA
One of television’s most adorable couples, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla got married in a lavish ceremony at the Woodville Palace in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, on June 21. Rubina looked gorgeous in a white lehenga with colourful embroidery, while Abhinav looked dapper in a blue sherwani. The couple followed Himachali and Punjabi rituals for the wedding as they believe in Indian traditions. Rubina and Abhinav also performed an unusual ceremony where they exchanged seven vows. Rubina says, “Everyone celebrated our wedding which w was overwhelming. Learning about the meaning of pheras was quite enlightening. My life will now n change for sure, yet remain the same.” Talking about her bidaai ceremony, Rubina says, “I was a happy bride and therefore, I did not cry during my bidaai.”
The couple had a lot of fun at their pre-wedding functions too. Their mehendi ceremony was held on June 19, and ring ceremony and sangeet was on June 20. Earlier in an interview, Rubina had told us, “I always wanted a fairytale wedding and wanted to get married in a palace. I am glad this dream will now come true.”
Many celebrities from the world of television attended the wedding and joined in the revelries. Hussain Kuwajerwala and his wife, Tina, Sharad Kelkar and his wife, Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar, Srishty Rode, Rahul Lohani, Karan V Grover and Poppy Jabbal, among others, were present and danced their hearts out at the sangeet.
