An all-new channel for movie and music lovers
Jayantilal Gada and his elder son, Dhaval Gada, have taken Pen Studios to great heights over the years. Now, the youngest talent from the family, Aksshay Gada, is set to join the bandwagon to add value to the company with his passion and expertise. Pen Studios has launched a channel, WOW - Movies & Music, which will be a reservoir of great movies and music. With WOW - Movies & Music, which will be helmed by Aksshay, the Gada clan is certain to offer great content to the viewers.
Besides airing GEC shows, the channel will also feature original content. Asked why they decided to delve into the small screen after being big players in the big-screen business — they have produced Kahaani and Shivaay — Jayantilal says, “Our younger generation decided to take the company’s vision to the next level, and to cater to a larger audience. We want our presence to be felt across India and abroad.” Aksshay, who is certain that he will nurture the channel with his expertise and passion, says, “I am confident that our superb channel team has designed a compelling programming schedule that includes love songs at 8am, followed by a film at 2pm and more movies from 10.30pm.”
Meanwhile, the channel’s launch, which took place in Delhi recently, saw a budding friendship. Producer Boney Kapoor and Jayantilal Gada have been friends for many years. Now, Kapoor’s daughter, Janhvi Kapoor, who has made her Bollywood debut with Dhadak, and Gada’s son, Aksshay Gada, bonded well at the event. In fact, the actor introduced Aksshay on stage.
While his elder brother, Dhaval, wants to expand his wings by getting into fulltime production of films and is set to announce his first project, Aksshay is looking forward to taking charge and helping the company soar to greater heights.
