MITALI NAG’S BEEN TAKING HER INFANT TO WORK EVERYDAY
Actor Mitali Nag, who returned to TV after a gap of few years, has her oneand-a-half-year-old son accompanying her to the sets of her TV show every day. Currently, she has been shooting for an ongoing daily soap where she plays the role of mother. The actor says, “I have been taking him to work since he was a six-month-old. The production house has been very cooperative. Till now, we have both managed. He is used to being on the sets now and likes it too as there are many dogs around the sets. But, sometimes, it is difficult for me to explain to him that he can’t shout or make loud noises when we are shooting or keep him cooped up in the make-up room.” The baby is at home on Sundays as Mitali’s husband (Sankalp Pardeshi) has a day off.
Mitali wanted her baby to be closer to her as she shoots 12 hours a day and travelling to and from the sets takes up another three hours. “I felt it was too early for me to leave him at home or in day care. I would rather kkeep hi i me. After he starts going to school, I won’t be able to spend so much time with him. I am trying to make the best of the situation at hand,” says the Afsar Bitiya actor.
She was acting in a show when she was eight-months pregnant and also took her baby boy y to the sets when she shot for a cameo in a TV show when he was s six-months-old. “I was needed for a brief period back then and I realised that it was convenient to have him around,” says Mitali.
