NEETI LENDS HER VOICE TO A CAUSE
Singer Neeti Mohan has added yet another feather to her hat: she recently collaborated with the United Nations for a campaign for women empowerment, titled Women India. The singer has lent her voice for the theme song of the campaign, ‘Mujhe haq hai’, and its music video features women from across the board. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Waheeda Rehman, Kriti Sanon, Sania Mirza, Mithali Raj, Alka Yagnik and Neeti herself are part of the music video.
A source close to the Neeti says, “‘Mujhe haq hai’ is an ode to every Indian woman who represents the progressive thought of women across the cities and strata of society in India. The objective of this song is to spread the message that women have the right to live life on their terms and the right to make their own choices without fear of judgement and backlash.”
I am honoured to be associated with such a beautiful cause, considering it is for women empowerment and for women’s rights across the globe. NEETI MOHAN, SINGER
Talking about the association, Neeti says, “I am honoured and grateful to be associated with such a beautiful cause, considering it is for women empowerment and for women’s rights across the globe. The video sends across a thoughtful and deep message for women, and urges them to take the leap of faith. I will be more than happy if I am able to bring any kind of change even in one person through this cause.”
