KL Rahul is just an old friend: Nidhhi Agerwal
Nidhhi Agerwal turns a year older today and the actor will be spending the day shooting for a Telugu film. However, post the shoot, she plans to take a day off to celebrate with family. She says, “I feel I’ve taken enough time off in my life (laughs). It’s time to only work now. I wish I work on every birthday.”
Nidhhi is happy to share the frame with Telugu stars Chaitanya Akkineni (Naga Chaitanya) and Akhil Akkineni in two different Telugu films. She says, “It’s been great working with them. Both are quite different and have been sweet to me. I am working on these films simultaneously. It’s not easy as the tonality of these films is different. Though I wasn’t familiar with Telugu, I picked it up.
It was a challenge, but I am enjoying it.”
Ask her if there are ample opportunities in the South as compared to
Hindi film industry, and she says, “It’s the same. It depends where you get to play a good character and work with a good director, whether it is
Hindi or Telugu.
My next project is a Hindi film.
With actors working in different industries, the advent of social media and digital growth, the lines have blurred lately.”
Recently, Nidhhi made news when she was spotted with cricketer KL Rahul. Talking about their camaraderie, she says, “It’s a friendly equation. I am proud that he is part of the Indian cricket team. As a friend, I am really happy for him. He is just an old friend.” But is she single and open to a relationship? “I am single and happy working. But it really depends, if I meet someone interesting, then maybe. I haven’t met anyone interesting in a while and not thinking much about it,” says Nidhhi.
