A story of hope and courage
Critically acclaimed, internationally applauded and packed with powerful performances, audiences are all set for a moving experience with Love Sonia, which is set to release tomorrow across the country. The film is a gritty story of a 17-year-old girl, who travels across India, Hong Kong and Los Angeles, USA, to rescue her sister from the nexus that runs a human trafficking racket across continents. It is a story of hope, courage and about a superhero without any superpowers.
Like all inspiring underdogs, the character of Sonia also, goes on a perilous journey and reveals a greater truth. The journey of a young girl, Love Sonia has already won hearts at screenings in London and Melbourne.
The film is Tabrez Noorani’s directorial debut and features a strong ensemble cast of Manoj Bajpayee, Richa Chadha, Rajkummar Rao, Sai Tamhankar, Adil Hussain, Anupam Kher, Demi Moore, Mark Duplass, Freida Pinto and introduces Mrunal Thakur and Riya Sisodiya.
“The anticipation before the release of the film is both exciting and a very emotional time for all of us. We are about to hand over our story to the audiences now, and now it becomes their story. I am enormously happy to be able to have the movie out in theaters this Friday,” says Noorani.
Tamasha Talkies and Samraaj Talkies in association with India Take One Productions, Cinemantra Entertainment and Media and Dynasty Consulting Group present Love Sonia. The film has been produced by David Womark along with Noorani, co-produced by Amar Butala and executive producer Shalini Thackeray, Deepak Nayar and Pravesh Sahni. The Dynasty Consulting Group was instrumental in setting up the movie. Zee Studios is releasing Love Sonia in India on September 14.
