SHRADDHA RACES AHEAD OF HER PEERS ON INSTAGRAM
The actor now has more Instagram followers than Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra
Shraddha Kapoor’s recent release, Stree, crossed the ₹100-crore mark this week, and while the actor is basking in the success and the appreciation coming her way, she has more than one reason to celebrate. Shraddha enjoys a huge fan following on social media, especially on the photo sharing website, Instagram, and she recently raced past her contemporaries when her follower count rose to 23.7 million.
A source close to the actor reveals, “Shraddha and Alia Bhatt are always pitted against each other in Bollywood, but the two actresses actually share a very warm friendship. While Alia has a total of 23.6 million followers on Instagram, Shraddha now has 23.7 million people following her on the platform. Until recently, both actors had always been neck-to-neck when it came to their follower counts, but after Stree, Shraddha has raced ahead. Parineeti Chopra has 15.3 million followers while Katrina Kaif has 13.7 million.”
Talking about her popularity on social media, Shraddha says, “Each member of my multimillion Instagram family holds a very special place in my life. They are the ones who have showered love and have supported and encouraged me through my journey. I feel truly grateful to have each one of them and I am extremely glad that my family of gems is growing.”
The actor is fresh off the promotions for her latest release Batti Gul Meter Chalu, and will soon start filming for the biopic on badminton champ, Saina Nehwal.
