HINA'S IN NO HURRY FOR FILMS

Hina Khan admits to having received film offers; adds that ‘they will happen when they happen’ but for now she’s focusing on small screen

Other than making an appearance on the Salman Khan-hosted reality show a few days back, Hina Khan has been in news for being part of producer Ekta Kapoor’s next TV series. But the actor is maintaining the mystery about her role for now. She says, “I have met Ekta a couple of times and I have recently attended some of her events too. Touchwood, the vibe we shared was wonderful. I think, it is not always the case that when you work with someone only then you can bond with a person. Sometimes you have a tuning. It was encouraging to hear her say that she likes me as an actor. She has a lot of things in mind but nobody can read it, so let her make the announcement.”

Recently, Hina shot for music video of the song, ‘Bhasoodi’, sung by Sonu Thukral, which was appreciated by her fans. She also was part of a short film, titled, Smart Phone. Now, the actor reveals that she is looking forward to shooting for her next short film soon. “This will be my second short film and it will be showcased at the Cannes Film Festival. I am quite excited about it and can’t wait to get started,” says Hina.

In the past year, Hina has shed her bahu image and emerged as a fashionista. Do the modern outfits mean that she is aiming for Bollywood? She says, “Since I got out of the Salman Khanhosted reality show, last year, I have been offered some films but films take time. I am a grounded person and TV has given me a lot in terms of name and fame. In fact, I was offered six prominent shows last year too. I am not foolish to leave television behind and wait for a big film to happen. Having said that, I’ll add that films will happen when they happen.”

Hina has been dating Rocky Jaiswal, since a few years but admitted to their relationship only last year. Is marriage on the cards? “Not so soon. We are happy and our families are happy. We will take our own sweet time. Both of us are focusing on our careers right now. Maybe in the next three to four years we will get married. Par shaadi toh hogi (But we will definitely get married) (laughs),”
