A good team is very important, says Surbhi

-

The last two years have been a blast,” says Surbhi Chandna, who plays the lead in a hit ongoing TV show. She says, “This show has been life-changing. The love we get from our fans is immense and the number of cakes we get for numerous milestones is huge. I don’t know how to handle this love. I feel you succeed in life and do your best at work when you have the right support system at home. The positivity, guidance and support of my family means the world to me.”

In fact, her father stays up till late night to have a meal with her, without fail. “We usually have dinner together. He has given me so much strength. He even helps mum pack my food in the morning. On the set, too, we have the same vibe and actors who do cameos on our show want to stay back for more. Ours is a fun set to be on,” she says.

Talking about the experience of doing the series, the Qubool Hai actor says, “The show has tested me as an actor as I used to be bad at emotional scenes. As a person, I am jovial, so it took me a lot of time to deliver dramatic scenes. I can never be serious on sets as I am joking around and pulling people’s leg. I crack up while shooting romantic scenes with my costar Nakuul (Mehta). I feel we all work together as a team and that’s what resulted in the success of our show. A good team of not just actors but technicians too is very important on any show.”

Having done her MBA, Surbhi has worked in the corporate sector, and handled a beauty pageant. Today, as an actor, she says she feels blessed to be a part of the show that has been quite novel in terms of entertainment. She says, “Our show has been a trendsetter in the industry as not only did we have a spin-off of our show, Dil Boley Oberoi but the redux version of the show has been loved by audiences too. It has been fun to reimagine the whole show, story and characters.”
