Juhi Parmar has taken up a new hobby. The Shani actor has begun blogging about parenthood on Instagram. A single parent, Juhi wants to blog about being a parent with a focus on single parenthood. She says, “I wanted to start a while ago but things fell into place this Ganeshostav. I plan to write about the little and the big things that affect our lives as parents. Children change our lives, they bring questions, they bring lessons and they bring challenges, but with them the power to overcome them as well. And so my blogs are about challenging days, small happy moments, questions my child asks and, of course, the problems I face as a single parent.”

After shooting for two years out of Mumbai for her TV show, Shani, the actor is currently on a break from work. Now, she wants to spend quality time with her daughter Samaira, and is working on getting fitter. As Juhi is new to blogging, she doesn’t want to bombard her followers with posts. She says, “I post a couple of times a week. Moreover, my blogs are lengthy so not only do I think them through, but I also try to make them more interactive. I’ve noticed that most blogs are a one-way street but it’s important to interact with your readers too. Women love having a good conversation and my readers are mostly female, which I’ve noticed from understanding my traffic analytics. Hence, after I write about a particular topic, we end up having a discussion which all depends on the comments that are coming in.”

She has been posting photos of her daughter and even has an Instagram account for her. Ask her about exposure of kids on social media and Juhi says, “I think to each his own. As a parent, you need to decide and I wouldn’t say either side is wrong. Some parents, like me, who were very guarded earlier, have slowly opened up. And then, there are other parents who have been okay with their child being exposed to social media.”
