MANOJ BAJPAYEE IS EXCITED TO BE BACK IN KASHMIR

Bajpayee was last in Kashmir to shoot for Aiyaary and now, he is back in the valley for his next — a show on the digital platform

Manoj Bajpayee is celebrating the glory and critical acclaim that his films Love Sonia and Gali Guleiyan, have won him in India and on the international film festival circuit. Over the years, the actor has blended realism and idealism seamlessly while playing a character and now, Manoj is all set to headline in his debut web series, The Family Man. The series will follow the life of an agent with India’s National Intelligence Agency, who has to protect the country from terrorists, while protecting his family from the impact of his secretive, highpressure, and low-paying job. The shooting is in the last leg of its final schedule and Manoj is in Srinagar and Leh – Ladakh (Kashmir) for the same.

A source reveals, “Manoj is enamoured by the beauty of Srinagar, as his first trip to the place was almost 30 years ago. He had visited Srinagar as a school kid, when he was thirteen, for a school trip. The actor walked down memory lane as he relived all those memories. What was also special was that he was in Kashmir when he shot for Aiyaary too.”

Talking about it, the actor says,“I felt like it was just yesterday that I had been here. It was a recollection of my memories and I could see myself as a school kid enjoying the trip. I’m happy to be in Srinagar again and I’m enjoying every bit of it”.

In fact, every time the actor visits Kashmir, he makes sure to meet the Army jawans. The source adds, “Aiyaary saw him play an Army officer and as a part of his prep, he had interacted with a lot of jawans. This time too, he is planning to do the same.”
