DISHA GRATEFUL TO NEERAJ PANDEY
The actor, who made her big screen debut two years ago is thankful to the filmmaker for giving her a break in Bollywood
Hailing from small town of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, 25-year-old actor Disha Patani made her big screen debut with Neeraj Pandey’s MS Dhoni : The Untold Story in 2016. Soon after, she was paired opposite Tiger Shroff in Baaghi 2 and now, she enjoys an immense fan following.
Ever since her debut, the actor’s graph has only grown, leading to a growing fan base across social media platforms. A source close to the actor shares, “Disha is not from a filmy background and bagging a Neeraj Pandey film was a big deal for her. Back then, Pandey had seen the potential in her. After the release of MS Dhoni, Disha became a popular face in the industry and she ensured that she worked doubly hard and proved her mettle. Her fan following and being the face of so many brands has made her realise that this is what her true calling was.”
As her debut film completes two years, Disha Patani is thankful to her director Neeraj Pandey, and is in fact looking to collaborate with him once again. “Disha is a big fan of Neeraj’s work and though they haven’t worked together after MS Dhoni, she is more than willing to be a part of his future projects,” the source adds.
Talking about her debut film where she played a girl-nextdoor, Disha says, “I cannot believe that it has been two years to my debut film M.S.Dhoni — the untold story. It was such an amazing opportunity for a newcomer like me to work with one of the best directors in our industry, Neeraj sir, in my first film. I am grateful to him for seeing the potential in me and letting me play Priyanka.”
The actor will be next seen alongside Salman Khan in Bharat, where she plays a trapeze artist.
