Fresh out of college, undecided yet unwavering, Sushrut decides to open a Garba academy in Vadodara, Gujarat. It’s all run-of-the-mill till Michelle (played by debutante Warina Hussain), a girl who is different from him by all means possible, enters his world. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg according to debutant actor Aayush Sharma. “Nobody believes in his (Sushrut’s) dreams. They discourage him saying that Garba is celebrated only once a year, this can’t be a business, yet he is resolute. And luckily he meets a girl who is the polar opposite of him, the story then further unfolds to show the audience how he wins her over with his love for her and for his culture,” says the actor on his debut film, LoveYatri. Having worked as an assistant director on several movies in the past, Aayush slowly yet steadily fell in love with the world of cinema. “I never aspired to become an actor as a child, I’m still getting used to the fact that people are calling me an actor now. It all started when I was working on Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), I saw the impact the movie made and how it would go down in history, and that’s what I wanted for myself too. I wanted to create my own legacy. I thought it was an easy job till I was exposed to how films are made, the love and the criticism, everything made me fall

more and more in love with it,” he says.

Taking about what he took away from his character Sushrut, he says, “Definitely, his positivity and optimistic outlook towards everything. Now, I’ve consciously started to see the brighter side of things. Today, if someone tells me I’m getting trolled over the internet, I’ll be happy about it because only people who are relevant get trolled. I’ve never seen anyone irrelevant getting trolled.”
