On the cusp of starting their second tour of India, Dutch electronica duo, Yellow Claw, are more than excited. “There are places in the world we visit way [more] often. Especially because of that, it’s always extra-special to go to India. Electronic music is so big in India. People are really invested in our music, and coming to shows and partying hard. Besides, it’s a real treat to enjoy the Indian cuisine,” they tell us in an e-mail interview.

Known for hits such as ‘Krokobil’, ‘Shotgun’, and ‘In My Room’, the two artists — Nils Rondhuis aKa Nizzle and Jim Aasgier — are returning to India after two years as a part of the Sunburn City Festival, in Bengaluru Mumbai, and Delhi on October 5, 6, and 7, respectively. “As a touring artist, it’s comfortable to be able do a bunch of shows without leaving the country... We look forward to partying with everybody that loves our music,” they tell us.

The duo released an album, New Blood, this year. They insist that they don’t like the “herd mentality”, which is why they aren’t going with the global trend of releasing singles instead of full albums.

“We want to give our people more than just one-off songs. Also, we love working on bigger projects and surrounding them with shows, pop-up stores, clothing and whatnot. We never really liked to follow the herd,” they say.
