Shraddha still waiting for a great offer to work with father Shakti

By now, it’s well known that Alia Bhatt is set to work with her father, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, in Sadak 2. Even Sonam K Ahuja has teamed up with her father, actor Anil Kapoor, in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. But Shraddha Kapoor is yet to get lucky when it comes to doing a film with dad Shakti Kapoor.

“Nobody is offering [us anything], what to do?” she smiles. “But one thing is clear: regardless of who comes with the offer, it should have good content for me as well as dad,” says the actor, who told us last year that someone should make a movie called Gogo and Gogi, a spin-off from his role of Crime Master Gogo from Andaz Apna Apna (1994).

“Yes, [a] comedy [film] will be great fun. He’s such an amazing and versatile actor,” says Shraddha, who is busy with the Saina Nehwal biopic. “As of now, I can only talk about Saina and Saaho. But a new film will be announced very soon,” she says. “In fact, the announcement will be done in a very interesting way. I’m really excited about it.”

Talking of Saaho, how has it been working with ‘Baahubali’ Prabhas? “It has been extremely nice working with the whole team. It’s my first ever bilingual — we’ve been shooting in Hindi and Telugu — so I have to speak my lines in Telugu as well. I have to memorise them and then say [the dialogues]. To hear myself talking in an absolutely new language is very novel for me. It’s also challenging and fascinating ,” she says.

When she isn’t acting, Shraddha is an avid traveller. “Recently, on a weekend, I went away to Lonavla for a couple of days. The best part was the drive — looking out of the window in silence and soaking in the nature. Simple but refreshing,” she says.
