Patralekhaa is all set to launch a campaign with an organisation that looks after animal safety. This is to create awareness about taking care of them during festive seasons. Through this online campaign, the actor is also urging her film industry friends to be a part of her initiative.

A source close to the actor reveals, “Patralekhaa owns seven dogs back home in Shillong, Meghalaya, and she has adopted a dog in Mumbai. She is an animal lover and tries to involve herself with any kind of activity that can bring awareness on this issue. The campaign aims to create awareness about how during festive seasons, pets and street dogs get affected when people burst crackers. Crackers create noise and air pollution which affects human beings as much as it affects animals. While human beings know the side effects and can control it, animals need to be taken care of as they tend to fall sick or get scared due to the loud noise. While Patralekhaa feels, many are aware about this, there are a lot of people who harm animals on purpose, and she wants to put a stop to that.”

Talking about the same, the CityLights (2014) actor says, “This initiative is my way of creating awareness about animal safety. I have seen people burst crackers on the streets to harass dogs, it might be fun for them but it’s traumatic for the dogs. My pets at home have the worse time every year during Diwali. So, it makes me uncomfortable thinking what must be happening to the street dogs.”
