Shilpa Shetty Kundra to turn TV producer

After hosting and judging several shows on the tube, actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra is now turning to production. The actor will be producing a 3D animated adventure series for kids under her home production banner that she owns with husband Raj Kundra. The show will be a 13-episode series and will be telecast post Diwali.

A source close to the actor reveals, “Shilpa has been toying with the idea of producing a kid’s show for a while now. She wanted to do something that her son, Viaan could watch and would like, so when this concept came their way, Raj and Shilpa decided to produce the show. Right now the show is under post-production and final touches are being added to the finished product, which will air on the television after Diwali.”

Talking about the same, Shilpa says, “I’m happy to present our first venture under our home production banner. Digital is the future, and we wanted to work on something that best explored that space. The 3D animated series is called Adventures of Ali Baba and is guaranteed to take children on a magical journey of adventure and learning. The television medium has given me a lot of love and I understand the massive potential and the reach that it has. So, this made for a perfect platform to come out with a show like this.”
