Doing atrocious things on TV affects me: Sourabh Raaj Jain
After gaining recognition for playing mythological characters such as Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna, it was a surprise for many when actor Sourabh Raaj Jain was roped in to play a negative role, that too of a sinister king in a historical show.
As his role demands a barechested appearance, Sourabh has been working out to look fitter on screen. Talking about it, he says, “We are shooting in Umargaon, Gujarat, which is a long drive from Mumbai. Thankfully, the shooting studio is close to a beach which is cleaner and quieter than Mumbai beaches with hardly any crowd. I often go there to clear my mind. My character is required to do some really wicked and atrocious things, which affects me. I find comfort in the sound of the waves. Moreover, working out on the beach is the best option and I am glad I found a functional training expert here.” He starts his day early by the sea, and is happy with the results of the workout.
Other than exercise, Sourabh has a fitness secret. He reveals, “After I wrapped up my show Mahakali — Anth Hi Aarambh Hai, I wanted to learn something new. I always loved dancing but didn’t think I was good at it. So, I got in touch with a professional dancer and I would dance five days a week. Later, I combined dance with strength training and consulted a nutritionist for a protein rich diet too. Right now, I feel fit inside-out and I am in a happy space mentally too.”
