Busy bee: Janhvi squeezes in a 10-day break for sister
For the past few months, she was caught up with back-to-back films, the Gunjan Saxena biopic followed by Roohi Afza. So much so that Janhvi Kapoor found it “extremely difficult” to find “any breather” in between. But now, the actor is happy to have finally got some off time to travel to New York, USA. And what makes it all the more special for her, is that she is “spending quality time” with her younger sister, Khushi, and father, Boney Kapoor. “Actually, Janhvi was looking for a break for some
time now, but her tight work schedules didn’t allow her the same. In fact, she wanted to travel earlier this month itself to be with Khushi and her father, but she just couldn’t. However, now, she has gone for a 10-day break. Both the sisters have always been extremely close to each other, so Janhvi had to be with Khushi at this point,” says an insider.
For the uninitiated, Khushi has enrolled herself at the prestigious New York Film Academy before she takes the plunge in the world of films.
“Of late, a number of filmmakers have shown interest in launching her. But she was always clear about getting herself trained in the art of cinema before saying yes to any of the offers,” adds the insider.
Coming back to Janhvi, the Dhadak (2018) actor has “squeezed out time” now, because soon after her return to Mumbai, she will head towards film sets again. “Yes, within days of landing back, she will face the camera for Dostana 2 which is all set to hit the floors. Janhvi knew that this was her only window of break before Dostana sequel (co-starring Kartik Aaryan and Lakshya Lalwani) and other (yet unannounced) films line up,” says the insider.
When contacted, Janhvi told us, “I’m very happy that I could take this break to spend time with two people who I love the most in the world.”
