Mohnish Bahl’s gesture leaves Mohit Malik speechless
Recently, when Mohit Malik got a call from Mohnish Bahl, he was surprised to hear from the senior actor. Bahl had reached out to Mohit to praise the actor for his performance in his popular ongoing show.
Mohit says, “It was really wonderful and so humble of Mohnish Sir to call me. He spoke to me for almost half an hour. He was praising my show and my performance. I was so elated at that moment that somebody like him has called to appreciated me. It’s a huge deal as nobody does that... to admire someone is so inspiring and motivating. I am really thankful to him for the gesture.”
The actor, who has watched many movies starring Bahl, adds he has been a great fan of the senior actor. “There is so much to learn from him. I love his work and the aura he has on screen which is that of an organic and relaxed person. He is one of those rare actors, who is effortless in every role,” he says.
On the other hand, Bahl reveals that he was surprised that an actor on television, who races against time to wrap up an episode, gave a layered performance. He admits he couldn’t stop himself and called Mohit. “I had met Mohit when he came to meet his wife, Addite (Malik), on the sets of a show. And now, to see his commendable performance in a TV show is impressive. Unfortunately, what happens on television is that actors don’t get bound scripts which they can work on and prep. Mohit was remarkable and expressive in his performance. I think Mohit should reserve himself for better things,” says Bahl.
