Being an athlete inculcates a strong sense of decorum in a person, and Angad Bedi, by virtue of growing up with that value system, rejects all artificial ways of altering the body. The actor has frequently declined good amounts of money for endorsing supplements or protein powders, among others. Not one to advocate artificial alternatives for fitness, Angad has once again turned down an offer for steroids that builds muscle. This affirms the fact that he doesn’t want to set the wrong example for the youth of the country by encouraging unnatural fitness habits. Angad, who does yoga to remain fit, and believes in eating balanced nutritional meals and exercising regularly, says, “It takes years of dedication and devotion to make a super fit body. When you see someone transform their physique in a month or two, it’s humanly not possible to do it. Also, people have different metabolisms and it depends on their genes too. Therefore, one should set goals within a reasonable amount of time. I feel things like protein powders, steroids and growth hormones; these things can get you quick results but in the long run, any artificial substance that you put in your body will always be harmful. So, I feel one should try and sustain themselves on a natural diet, by eating homecooked food. Also, both carbs and fats are important in their own way. You should train hard, eat well and play sports, build your body in the most natural way. Don’t imitate people randomly. ”
