I feel blessed to still be getting female love and attention: Karan

- Titas Chowdhury

It has been a decade-and-a-half for Karan Wahi in showbiz. Ever since his debut show, Remix which came out in 2004, Karan has been an absolute favourite with ladies across the nation. “Looking back at the journey, I feel grateful for all the love I’ve received. I thank viewers for accepting me every time I changed tracks as a performer. It has encouraged me to give my best, and every opportunity has helped me learn and change gears as an actor,” reminisces the television heartthrob.

His seamless transition from a chocolate boy to a hunk was always accompanied by the constant adulation that his female fans showered upon him. “We all work to entertain people and with time, if more and more people love your work, it’s a happy feeling. I feel blessed that even after all these years, I still get their love and attention. I feel it’s one of the reasons I started working, and today when I am getting it, I feel thankful,” says a modest Karan.

So, what is next on his plate? “I am doing a web series on an OTT platform where my character is very different from anything I have done before. There are a lot of small and big differences which the audience will probably see which I am very excited about. It is also a great ensemble cast.”

The series will see him sharing screen space with actor Lara Dutta Bhupati. Talking about the former Miss Universe, he shares, “It’s Lara’s debut on the web, and she’s a great actor to work with. It’s always great to work with people who know their craft and who also help you ease you out on set. She’s a fun person, both on and off screen.”

I thank viewers for accepting me every time I changed tracks as a performer. It has encouraged me to give my best. KARAN WAHI,

ACTOR
