Virat Kohli unveiled the all-new eighth generation Audi A6
German luxury car manufacturer, Audi, launched its new A6 luxury sedan recently. The event saw Balbir Singh Dhillon, head of Audi India and Virat Kohli, captain of the Indian cricket team, unveiling the new, eighth generation Audi A6. The new Audi A6 carries forward the global brand philosophy of ‘Audi is more’ through the idea — Brand new, inside and out. It brings with it a blend of design, digitisation, comfort and sportiness.
The new Audi A6 is the manufacturer’s first BS-VI compliant model in the country. The 2.0L TFSI engine generates 180kW of power and 370Nm of torque, propelling the car to the 100kmph mark from a standstill in just 6.8 seconds. The exterior features a familiar silhouette, but has a completely reworked, sporty and more angular matrix LED headlights, and a wide, low-set Singleframe Grille. The interiors have undergone a complete digital overhaul. It’s replete with a dual touchscreen MMI system, natural language voice control with onboard and online search, navigation with self-learning function and an Audi virtual cockpit with full HD resolution.
Commenting on the launch, Balbir said, “The new Audi A6 is a car that will attract buyers who want to drive as
well as be driven. It is a blend of front and rear seat comfort, offered with a host of gadgets that will appeal to every user. With the launch of the new Audi A6 and a slew of other launches to come in 2020, we are confident of increasing our car parc in India.”
Audi has also introduced an online AR and VR experience that gives the buyers a complete look and feel of the car that can be customised before they make the purchase.
