‘I strike a balance between what I like and what I want to eat’
HEALTH STRUCK WITH SHANTANU MAHESHWARI
What is the one food you must have for breakfast?
Fruits. I start my day with it and it gives me the required freshness and energy.
What is one fattening food item you just cant resist?
Bengali sweets are my favourite. I find Rasgulla and Sandesh irresistible.
How do you get back in shape post a fattening indulgence?
I honestly don’t have any particular routine to get back in shape post a fatty indulgence, as dance is part of my daily routine. On days that I indulge more, I just increase my dance regime and a couple of other functional exercises into my routine.
Do you prefer mini meals? What do your meals consist of daily?
I am not strict with my eating habits. I do prefer mini meals during the day.
I ensure that my protein intake is good. My meals consist of various things from smoothies to sandwiches, dry fruits and more. I strike a balance between eating what I like and what I should also be incorporating into my diet.
Which is a diet plan that always works for you?
I am not a diet person at all. I eat everything from roti, sabzi, rice, bread and anything else that I want to eat.
What are your favourite physical activities?
Dancing, and a variety of outdoor sports like cricket, badminton and basketball.
What is one health tip that you rely on?
I feel that it is a must to not only be physically but also mentally fit, and healthy as well. So, incorporating various breathing exercises and meditation techniques in one’s daily routine is a must.
