What is the one fattening food item that you cannot resist?

I absolutely love indulging in chocolate cakes. It is that one guilty pleasure that I cannot resist.

Do you prefer mini meals? What do they normally contain?

To keep random cravings at bay, I prefer eating mini meals throughout the day as they help me stay healthy and fit. They usually include healthy snacks like almonds, herbs, seasonal fruits, edamame beans and goat cheese.

What is a diet plan that always works for you?

Breakfast is a very important meal, and I always indulge in a healthy breakfast as it fuels me with energy and takes me through most of the morning. I need my dose of energy as I mostly wake up feeling hungry and so, I snack on something healthy to pack in the right nutrients before I start my morning exercise session. My go-to option is to eat a handful of almonds, owing to its nutrientrich composition. Almonds are a rich source of protein, which is not only energy-yielding but also known to contribute to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass and makes for a good pre-workout snack.

Do you work out at home? If yes, what exercises do you do at home?

I do. I start my mornings by doing yoga at home to set the tone for my day. I usually choose a calm place in my home and start with pranayama for about five to ten minutes, as it helps me streamline my thoughts and centre my focus. After that, I practice asanas for at least 30 minutes. Yoga has worked wonders for me. It gives me a greater sense of inner calm, control and focus.

Do you prefer outdoor or indoor physical activities?

After becoming a mother, my lifestyle has changed a lot. I ensure spending as much time with my daughter (Inaaya Naumi Kemmu) as I can, which is why I prefer exercising indoors. I am also regular to the gym. However, when I’m really tied up, I take to indoor physical activities.

What are your favourite physical activities?

Yoga is my way of staying healthy and fit.

What is a healthy tip that you always rely on?

I recommend following a training regime that focusses not just on your routine goals but on longevity as well. My advice to everyone is to take to yoga for staying physically and mentally fit.
