So the last face masks and hand sanitisers are sold out, people are shutting themselves in and the world is in panic mode. But the Covid19 scare has also inspired some to reduce the gloom and spread awareness among the youth. While Instagram is flooded with nail art encouragin­g people to wear masks, some are retailing jewel-studded masks online. Yet others have come up with shirts, while a cafe has introduced a dish with a hygiene mesmessage. And then, re are tatt toos.

A Delhi café has come up with a dish.

“The idea is to reach out to people and spread awareness via food. This dish, called Chilli Beans Bomb Shell, comes with a note on how to maintain hygiene and that we don’t intend to harm anyone’s personal loss or feelings,” says Shamir Ajmani, The Urban Room.

Designer Deepa Sondhi says, “I’ve designed a slogan shirt that says ‘Karo na handshake, say namastey’. I couldn’t think of a better way to tell people about this.”

Tattoo artist Vikas Malani, owner of BodyCanvas Tattoos says ppeople have been coming to himm with requests for ‘Stop coronnavir­us’ temporary attooos. “While the pandemic as ccreated a state of panic, eowi ople ituation have a found little their wn ways to make the better,” he says.

Yet others are opting for cool designer masks to ight the pandemic, stead of the regular rrgical ones, most of ich are now hard to nd aanyway. From sequinned to bejewwelle­d ones, these masks are every bit the chic fashion accessory. Designer Rishabh Chadha, owner of The Natty Garb says, “While these sequined masks were available on my social media account for a while, their demand increased exponentia­lly after the novel coronaviru­s scare.”
