THE SINGER’S CLARA LIONEL FOUNDATION RECENTLY MADE HEADLINES FOR ITS CHARITABLE EFFORTS AS THE ORGANIZATION DONATED 5 MILLION USD FOR CORONAVIRUS RELIEF.

Sharad Kelkar had been shooting for Bhuj: The Pride of India when all film, television and web show shoots were called off. He believes that the 21-day lockdown that has been ordered to control the spread of Covid-19 is a good time to hone one’s skills. He elaborates, “I was very restless on the first day of the lockdown. Now, I’m watching the shows that I worked on but haven’t had the time to watch. It’s my homework and it helps me analyse myself as an actor. Watching content on the digital space is a learning experience. It helps you understand the kind of roles that you would want to do.”

Talking about spending time with his daughter, Kesha Kelkar, he says, “I’m spending a lot of time with Kesha. By the time I used to come home from work, she would go back to sleep. Now we’re spending time dancing, drawing and working out together. I’m happy to be having meals with her.”

Kelkar feels that the larger population is “failing to understand the severity” of the crisis. He says, “I’ve been seeing a few videos on social media about people going out despite the lockdown. Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi ji has also said that the only precaution that we can take is to maintain social distance and stay at home. He has ensured that grocery stores, dairy booths and medical stores are open. Even then, people are hoarding goods and panicking. These are the people who lack civic sense.”

The Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior actor urges everyone to help their housekeeping members and staffs and give them their full salary or the basic ration for a month. He says, “What I’ve done for my drivers is that I have given them the entire salary for this month and filled their houses with groceries on March 14, and asked them to stay at home. As for the watchmen in our building, we’ve given them space to sleep and stay. Their meals have also been arranged by the fellow residents of my building.”

American actor Kristen Bell and husband Dax Shepard are doing their part to help financially-strapped people living in the Los Angeles (USA) buildings they own, by waiving rent for April. According to TMZ, the couple waived the rent payments of tenants in a California building they own in an effort to provide a bit of relief to those who are struggling to make ends meet during the current pandemic.

Kristen Bell explained during an appearance on The Bobby Bones Show, she said, “It was a no-brainer. People over profit,” reported US Weekly.

KRISTEN’S DAUGHTERS, 6-YEAR-OLD LINCOLN AND 5 YEAR-OLD DELTA, OVERHEARD THE ACTOR MAKING THE DONATION, AND ASKED IF THEY COULD ALSO DONATE MONEY FROM THEIR PIGGY BANK.

Earlier this month, No Kid Hungry highlighted the Hollywood couple for their donation of 150,007.96 USD to help send grants to schools and provide meals for those in need. Bell explained via Instagram the reason why the number is odd because when her daughters, 6-year-old Lincoln

and 5 year-old Delta overheard the actor making the donation, “they asked if they could also donate the money from their piggy bank.”

The Veronica Mars star shared “I encourage anyone with the means to share to donate as well, any amount helps, so we can get through this together.

Back in ’88, when Mahabharat was on air, the streets would be empty and now, history is repeating itself as they are empty even today.
