The book is a compilation of unexpected moments of love.

The pandemic brought a change in the way people looked at everything — health, family, jobs and even love. From living with a new partner and learning their quirks to breaking away from a relationship, learning to love yourself or finding love with someone new, the concept of love was heavily explored.

The third edition of the book, Engage Pocketful O’ Stories 3.0 was launched in Mumbai on Wednesday (June 1) and it was curated by author Durjoy Datta.

Talking about the work that went into the book, Datta says, “This book is a compilation of unexpected moments of love written in under 400 characters. It took me and the team six months to select the 400 [stories] that made it to the book.”

ITC Engage organised a social media campaign to get stories of love to collate the book. They received 35,000 entries that showcased tender moments that were shared during one of the darkest times in our life history — the pandemic .

Sameer Satpathy, chief executive, Personal Care Products Business, ITC, says, “The overwhelming response that the campaign, crafted in association with one of India’s leading authors Durjoy Dutta,

DURJOY DATTA, got was a testament to the authenticity of the micro tales [shared with us]. It helped establish storytelling as a foundation in brand Engage’s communication strategy.”

The book was launched by their Mumbai brand ambassador, actor Tara Sutaria. “I look forward to lots of readers going through the book. Durjoy’s story on love during the pandemic was honest and real, and his words felt like a warm hug,” she says.
