Actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s tumultuous relationsh­ip is out in the open, with Depp winning the defamation lawsuit. Now, their career is set to face another trial, with millions to lose and gain.

Depp had filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife over an opinion piece she wrote, claiming that he lost out on profession­al opportunit­ies because of the article. She then filed a $100 million countersui­t, claiming that Depp has smeared her name by calling her a liar.

Now, after the verdict, Heard has been asked to pay $15 million to Depp in damages. He was awarded

$10 million in

compensato­ry damages, plus $5 million in punitive damages — which Judge Penney Azcarate reduced to $350,000 in accordance with the state’s statutory cap. Heard, on the other hand, got $2 million as compensato­ry damages in her countercla­im against her ex-husband.
