Kitchen politics not Iqbal’s cup of tea
Actor Iqbal Khan (right), who has been a part of shows such as Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai, which was a love story, and Chhoona Hai Aasmaan, a story about six Indian air force officers, says that he will never agree to be a part of a saas-bahu saga.
“A show about kitchen politics between a saas and bahu completely puts me off. I have been in the industry for quite a while now, but I have stayed away from such shows. I think I am past the stage where I can change who I am, or what I want to do,” he says.
The actor agrees that the industry is unpredictable and does not take either success or failure too seriously. “I am not insecure. I have seen so many ups and downs that I don’t take these to heart. I think it’s important to just be honest and put in your 100% to your work. I think if you do that, you will get work,” says the 34-year-old, who is now seen in a daily show alongside actor Mona Singh.
