A FURRY, HAPPY WEEKEND FOR ALL
Who doesn’t love a fun play-day out with their furry friends? This Sunday, expect that and more at a pet convention in the city. Back after a successful first edition in the Capital last year, the event has on offer lots of treats, activities and games for you and your canine and feline companions.
Starting 10am, you can get busy with the Pet Walk, Puppy Therapy, Fun Games, Photo Booth and Bake Sale as you enjoy live music and soak in the winter sun. And don’t miss the life-size kennel that will be painted by Delhi Street Art. Also, with the event being alcohol-friendly this time, pet lovers can treat themselves to chilled beer available at the venue.
“Pet Fed is about celebrating our love for all the furry friends out there and giving pet lovers a memorable day. We received a tremendous response last year and the event has grown tenfold since. We’ve tried to incorporate as many requests from pet lovers as we could with the inclusion of cats and hamsters in the festival, and the pre event campaigns did really well. The venue too has been chosen specially to cater to a larger footfall and more space to play for the pets,” says founder Akshay Gupta.
Tempted enough to attend but wondering how you’d get there comfortably with your pooch? This year, they’ve partnered with a pet-friendly radio cab service.
Gracing the event will be union cabinet minister Maneka Gandhi and Rana Atheya, founder, DogSpot.in. And what makes it even better is that the proceedings from the festival will go to animal welfare NGO, Friendicoes. There will also be an adoption counter. So, be wise and sure, and give the little pups some loving homes, we say.
