Wild cats and pop prints, it’s all in their jeans
While we’ve had many sightings of ripped and shredded denims, when it comes to flaunting their pair of indigo, our Bollywood women go for pop prints. From feline gold and colourful stamp-sized spring fruits to superhero graphics, the humble pair of jeans is having some fun. Experts love the trend but stress on smart styling to make it work.
“What a novel way to dress up denims! I quite like how Priyanka has styled her pair, not taking away from the printed denims but actually shifting the focus on to them. These are statement-making pieces so that’s the way to go about it,” says designer Nida Mahmood. The Delhi chill might put you in a tricky spot, so know how to get around with this pair. “For the winter, go for a cropped jacket to dress them up or maybe a heavy-set pullover,” says designer Samant Chauhan. On the other hand, designer Urvashi Kaur suggests, “The look is quite quirky and fun and the vibe is casual. Add a crisp white shirt to balance it out.”
“For me, the style gives a backpacker-bohemian feel to which one can add a touch of class, the way Deepika does with the structured jacket. If you are in a styling dilemma, just go with layering and have fun with it!” says designer Kiran Jaisinghani.
