CELEBRATING THE DIVERSITY OF INDIA
The country celebrates its 67th Republic Day today, and to commemorate this historic event, there are a lot of celebrations that are taking place across the Capital. Joining in to celebrate the diversity of this great country is Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj and Gurgaon. The malls are organising a vibrant event under the theme of ‘Unity in Diversity’. The event promises to explore the nation’s myriad culture, religions and traditions under one roof and will showcase the cultural melange in the form of dance performances depicting the grandeur of the country. In keeping with the theme of the celebration, the interiors of the malls have been beautifully decorated with the tri-color. A 70-feet-long installation depicting people from different parts of our country has been set up in Vasant Kunj.
The celebrations have been on since January 22, and today is the last day of the five-day-long festival. The fiesta witnessed performances by popular music and dance groups from different states of India. There is also a ‘Made in India’ Exhibition featuring a mammoth collection of handicrafts, home decor, organic products and India wear.
There are also interesting contests such as Get Clicked at Ambi, wherein visitors to the mall can get dressed in attires from different states and get their photos clicked and framed. There are several exciting shopping offers and yummy meal vouchers for the winners of on-the-spot contest.
