WISHES FOR PRIYANKA’S PADMA SHRI WIN

Wishes poured in for actor Priyanka Chopra, who will be conferred with the Padma Shri award this year. Filmmaker Subhash Ghai, who produced Priyanka’s film Aitraaz (2004) says, “Every time Priyanka gets an award, I feel proud. She is such a talented actor. I was very close to her father. She deserves everything because she has earned all of this without the support of a film family.” Filmmaker Milan Luthria adds, “Though I only shot for a day with her in Taxi Number 9211, I was zapped to see she finished the whole scene in one take. I went up to her and told her that maybe that you don’t realise how gifted you are. She is among the premiere performers.” Sound engineer, Resul Pookutty tweeted, “Huge Congratulation to @priyankachopra for the Padma award. You deserve it. Your hard work and commitment is to be followed, so happy for you (sic).”
