Why Divyanka was mum

Actor Divyanka Tripathi (left), who recently got engaged, says that she has remained silent about her personal life, as she didn’t want people to talk about it. “I never thought it was necessary for me to tell anyone about what was happening in my life. I don’t like it when people discuss what is happening in my personal life and write about it. So I never gave into curiosity,” says Divyanka, who exchanged rings with her co-actor Vivek Dahiya earlier this month in a private ceremony in Chandigarh. “I wanted to get engaged, put a stamp on my relationship with Vivek and then tell the world about it. Now I have no problem in talking to anyone about my relationship with him,”

says Divyanka, who plays the role of Ishita in a daily show.

Talking about her life post engagement, the actor says, “Vivek is a responsible person and takes his and my career very seriously. I think now that we are more sure about our future together, our lives will become only better and more career opportunities will flow.”

Divyanka plans to tie the knot by the end of this year or early next year.
