HRITHIK ROSHANASHUTOSH GOWARIKER

MOHENJO DARO (2016) The much-awaited magnum opus — made on a budget of almost ` 1.15 billion — was under production for almost two years. However, it failed to impress the audiences, and Hrithik is rumoured to be upset with Ashutosh. According to reports, the actor sent angry texts to the director, holding him responsible for the film’s debacle.

RANBIR KAPOORANURAG KASHYAP

BOMBAY VELVET (2015) Ranbir had retorted to being held responsible for the flop, saying the flak should be shared by the entire team. “People trusted me and went to theatres to watch the film. (But) it’s about team work,” he had said. Anurag, however, in an exception, took the blame on himself and said: “I’m not depressed, this has taught us a lot”.

SHAH RUKH KHANROHIT SHETTY

DILWALE (2015) It was expected to be a box office hit just like their 2013 project, Chennai Express. However, they blamed each other after it failed. Rohit reportedly felt that SRK was wrong in releasing the film alongside Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani. And SRK believed Rohit didn’t work hard enough on the film. Their next project together has been shelved.

SHAHID KAPOORVIKAS BAHL

SHAANDAAR (2015) It was marketed as one of the most talked-about films of last year. However, speculations were rife that Shahid blamed the sloppy script of the film (directed by Vikas Bahl) for its bad reception. It is said that the actor took up the project because of his friendship with Madhu Mantena, one of the four partners of the productionp house.
