AAMIR TAKES UP SMOKING TO BEAT STRESS

-

Actor Aamir Khan (left) says he is unhappy that he has started smoking again, but assured that he would give it up after the release of his next.

He blames the pre-release nervousness of his muchawaited film, for taking up smoking again. “Yes, it has started again. I am stressed about the film. But I will give up after its release,” he said.

In the past, prior to the release of his films such as PK (2014), Dhoom 3 (2013) and Talaash (2012), the 51-year-old actor had started smoking due to the pressure.

However, Aamir said, “I am not happy that I am smoking again. But when my film is about to release I get nervous so I start smoking but then I stop it as well. I don’t think smoking has anything to do with acting. Due to smoking, health gets affected. I tell everyone not to smoke and even I try not to smoke.”

Actor Akshay Kumar had recently said on filmmaker Karan Johar’s chat show that the stardom will remain intact for those who do not smoke and drink.

Aamir’s next is directed by filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari and is based on the life of Haryana-based wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trained his daughters Geeta and Babita to make it big in the field of wrestling. The film is special for Aamir as he has undergone extreme body transformation for his role.
