DIY facepacks to pamper your skin in winter
It’s winter time, and that usually means trouble for our skin. Here are a few easy kitchen-shelf remedies for dry, parched skin. These homemade face packs will nourish your skin and leave it soft and glowing.
Olive oil and egg yolk face mask:
Treat your skin with two natural antioxidants, olive oil and egg yolk. Take 2tbsp of olive oil and one egg yolk. Whip them together to make a face mask. Apply and rinse off after 15 minutes. Vitamin E& K in olive oil will help to exfoliate dead cells and vitamin A of egg yolk will moisturise your skin.
Avocado and honey paste:
Take equal proportions of mashed avocado and honey and blend them together into a smooth paste. Apply the paste on your face and neck and rinse off after 15 minutes. This pack helps remove fine lines and lends a healthy, pink glow.
Banana and yogurt face mask:
Combine one mashed banana with 1 spoon of yoghurt. Mix them together and apply on your face. Rinse it off after 15 minutes. This pack reduces pigmentation and helps to detan your skin.
Almond face mask
Almonds help in detanning and reducing cell damage due to exposure to sun. It also helps reduce inflamation. Soak a few almonds in milk. Make a smooth paste and add a few drops of olive oil and 1/2 tbsp sandalwood powder. Apply on your face and leave on for 15 minutes. Wash off with luke warm water.
