Food is an important part of any travel experience, right? However, if you are a hardcore foodie who’s looking for an exclusive epicurean extravaganza, here are our top picks.

MODENA@ITALY

Birthplace of liquid gold aka, balsamic vinegar. Once you get here you will discover more than adequate foodcentric action to keep you occupied besides the vinegar, which lives up to its reputation most certainly. Learning about the creation of the cheese that earns the name Parmigiano Reggiano is an awe-inspiring experience to cherish. Then there’s Osteria Francescana, a 3 Michelin star restaurant by Chef Massimo Bottura rated world’s no 1 in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2016. And if you don’t get a table, grab lunch at Franceschetta 58, which is also by Chef Massimo and is heady value. And its Gelateria bloom makes it a sweet experience in more ways than one, with the most amazing ice cream in surprising flavours. Do try the mango, curry and cardamom one, it’s decadent!

TEL AVIV@ISRAEL

This seaside Israeli city by the Mediterranean is known to be home to over five thousand restaurants to pick from and some of the most inventive gastronomic minds! To begin with, it has to its advantage absolutely brilliant produce and the famed Carmel market provides an exclusive sight into the ethos of the city. Grab a traditional Lapa just as you enter and head to The Bun right at the end offering contemporary Asian food. It helps to learn the phrase ‘Rak Hayom’ which means ‘Only today’ in Hebrew, so you can ask for the day specials on most menus especially at the many restaurants on the promenade and at the Rothschild Boulevard. An absolute must go to restaurant is The Blue Rooster located in a mall in the Northern part where Chef Ben offers a unique take on the dishes and offers delicacies like the oxtail stew and spinach and crispy eggplant fries in tempura and honey. Get some falafel just about anywhere in Tel Aviv.

HAMBURG@GERMANY

Hamburg is varied, an amalgam of new and old. Interestingly, sausages is what comes to mind when you think of any place in Germany. Of course you get them here too and the Currywurst is to die for but Hamburg is indisputably the place to go for aquatic fare. If you happen to be in here on a Sunday, you can’t not go to the fish market and just when strolling around, you will discover what all can be collected in the Northern Sea. We recommend you see the gorgeous city by hiring a bike and riding will positively make you ravenous and what to eat is of course your individual choice; that said trying Fischbrötchen accompanied with onions, pickles and a white sauce, it’s a must; It’s basically a sandwich with fish and if you really want to do it like the locals, try it with the uncooked Herring. The chocolate museum boasts a line up stuffed with the best cacao in the world.
