Robin Thicke accused of child abuse by ex-wife Paula Patton
Singer Robin Thicke (inset) has been accused of “excessively spanking” his six-year-old child by ex-wife Paula Patton (far left) in legal documents filed at a Los Angeles court.
However, a judge has denied Patton’s request to limlimit the Thicke’s joint cucustody of their son, Julian, rereported The Wrap. In the lelegal filing, Patton claimed shshe is “concerned that ReRespondent (Thicke) is enengaging in alcohol and drug ususe while Julian is in his cucustody. I am aware that ReRespondent has a history of drdrug use, which existed duduring our marriage.” She alalleged that during the susummer of 2014 when they seseparated, Thicke looked ill. “HHe was pale, clammy, and shshaky. It was very uncharacteristicu and I was worriedw about him.”
Patton also claimed after JuJulian showed her how Thicke spanked him, she responded with an “ow,” and added that “Julian said it was worse than that.” “I then told Julian that I could not keep this secret anymore, and that I have to protect him,” Patton said, according to the documents. “Principal Smith and Ms Mahajan called Department of Child and Family Services on January 4, 2017 to report their concerns about Respondent’s abuse of Julian. DCFS came to my home on January 9, 2017 and interviewed Julian and me,” the motion continued.
As for Thicke’s declaration, the musician claimed he has not had physical contact with Julian since December 31, and that his ex-wife has denied him private access to their son on FaceTime, nor would she bring him to her house for a basketball lesson on January 5. The couple were married for 21 years before they split.
