Love you, India. I’ll return soon: David Guetta

-

After a power-packed gig in Mumbai on Sunday afternoon, Grammy Award-winning DJ David Guetta brought the roof down in Delhi the same night with his enthused electronic beats, laser webs and kitsch retro visuals on the stage.

Despite his earlier performance in Bengaluru getting cancelled, and gig in Mumbai being delayed, the French EDM artist expressed love, with shout outs of “I love you, India” and “I will return soon”, and at one point, waving the Indian flag.

Thousands of party-goers flaunting Guetta T-shirts thronged the Capital’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, and grooved to the 49-yearold DJ’s beats, as he took to the console with hit tracks such as Hey Mama, Sexy B***h, Titanium, and Without You, performing for over 90 minutes.

The smile on Guetta’s face grew bigger, as he waved to the crowd and pumped his fists in the air, grateful for the overwhelming reception. “It takes a price to party. It has been such a beautiful journey. A big thank you to my fans for their constant support as I could have never done all of this without you. Thank you so much India,” said the DJ, who has visited India more than five times.

With homegrown artists such as Anish Sood, Nina Malika, Zaeden and Arsh setting the mood for Guetta’s act in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi, the international DJ’s India tour ended on a high note.
