Actor Sana Khan says co-star Gurmeet Choudhary’s wife Debina knew of their bold scenes together
Actor Sana Khan (right) faced a lot of flak when rumours about co-star Gurmeet Choudhary separating from his wife Debina Bonnerjee started doing the rounds. A lot of people said it was because of Gurmeet’s steamy scenes with Sana in Wajah Tum Ho that miffed Debina. While Gurmeet has already spoken about the whole fiasco, Sana too decided to break her silence.
Ask her if there was any truth in these reports, Sana retorts, “That was all bulls**t. I was told Debina knew everything even before the film started rolling. Also, when we started shooting, I again asked Gurmeet ‘I hope your wife knows the script and the fact that there are some bold scenes’. Gurmeet told me that he always makes his wife read the script even before he listens to it.”
Unwilling to take blame for the fiasco, Sana says, “Honestly, I didn’t want that I get intimate with a married actor on screen and later the wife gets irritated and screams at me. (Also) I don’t make that choice of what will be shot in a film. I only do what I am being asked by my director and producers.”
In fact, Sana thinks that people should be more worried about the impact of a bold scene on actors who are single. “I always tell people he’s (Gurmeet) a married man. I don’t have a partner yet. If I want to date a guy, he would be so judgmental about me.”
Sana feels married actors have an advantage. “Married people have a certain compatibility and if they are in the same profession they can understand why a particular thing is happening that way it is.”
