Actor Esha Gupta (left) will share screen space with Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan (right) for the first time in the sequel to the 2002 thriller Aankhen. And she’s ecstatic about the opportunity.

“I had a wish list. I wanted to do a film alongside Mr Bachchan, especially after watching [his film] Pink. I was even okay doing a small role with him, but this is a good role. I’m star struck and open about it. Amit sir is the epitome of acting,” says the Jannat 2 actor, who was roped in after actor Ileana D’Cruz turned down the film.

Esha says she immediately gave her nod when she was approached by the producers. “It’s a no brainer to say yes because the moment I heard the narration, I was blown away. I’m in the lead role with all the men around. I’m the one holding the film, so I was all the more excited.”

The actor will soon start prepping for her role in the heist drama, and is excited about shooting in a casino. “My training will start after March 10. We’ll do workshops and readings. The shoot begins from April 17. We will be travelling to South Africa and the film will be shot inside the casino. The film is of that level,” she adds.
