I love Ginni, we’ll marry next year: Kapil
Taking people by surprise, comedian-actor Kapil Sharma made an announcement about his personal life on social media on Saturday morning. He posted his photo with girlfriend Bhavneet Chatrath aka Ginni. While on Facebook, Kapil called Ginni his ‘wife’, he wrote on Twitter: “Will not say she is my better half... she completes me .. love u Ginni .. please welcome her .. I love her so much (sic)”. This caused a stir on social media as it was the first time the very guarded 35-year-old spoke about his personal life.
In a chat with HT, Kapil confirmed that the social media announcement was no joke, and that the two are in love and planning their wedding. “Why don’t people believe me? (laughs). Yes, it is true. Ginni and I are in love and she is lovely. We are not engaged yet. I will get married next year. I’m very happy,” said Kapil. The comedian couldn’t stop talking about his beloved who hails from Jalandhar. “Ginni is a simple girl and believes in charity. She helps orphaned kids get a better life and wants to continue working for them,” he added.
Kapil’s sister Pooja Devgan is also fond of Ginni. “She is a very good girl, very sanskaari. She has all the qualities what Kapil is looking for in a girl,” Pooja was quoted as saying in an interview.
Even as sources reveal that the two have been dating for a long time now, Kapil only admitted to having “known” her for years. They reportedly met during their college days in Punjab, and news about plans to tie the knot did the rounds back in 2014.
