Not just reality shows, actor Monalisa (right) says that she has a lot on her platter now.

Being a part of the controvers­ial reality show, Bigg Boss, has only given a boost to her career, feels Monalisa. “The show had a positive effect on my life and career. I got married on the show, post which, I’ve been getting offers from film and TV industry,” informs Monalisa.

Shuttling between a Bengali film, and a reality show, the actor also has few TV and film offers lined up. The actor is in Kolkata shooting for a song titled Delhi se aayi chori innocent, for her Bengali film titled Comrade, being helmed by filmmaker Shankudev.

“Being a Bengali, I always wanted to do Bengali films. But I hardly got any good offers. Shankudev wanted me in this film but he couldn’t reach me, as I was inside the house. Now I’m only doing a song. But he’s keen on working with me in his next film,” she adds.

Monalisa is also excited to participat­e in the celebrity dance reality show along with beau Vikrant Singh Rajput.

The film, which is scheduled to release in September, is based on the book Victoria and Abdul. It will have Dench play the role of Queen Victoria, while Fazal will play the role of her confidante, Abdul. It is would like to explore, she says, “I’d love to do romantic shows. I won’t mind doing a negative character as it is both difficult and interestin­g to play.” directed by Stephen Frears and written by Lee Hall.

A source informs, “During the last schedule, there was a shot to be taken against the backdrop of Taj Mahal and Queen Victoria’s temporary statue that not only irked the local political groups but disturbed the shooting for an entire day.”
