‘Talks around gender stereotyping amazes me’

Actor Shibani Dandekar (right) is surprised that there is still conversations around gender stereotyping, and says that both genders should coexist in this world, regardless of the labels on them.

“The fact that there is still a dialogue surrounding gender stereotyping is astonishing to me! We need to get to a place as human beings where we see each other as just people and are able to co-exist in this world,” Shibani said in a statement.

Shibani features in a new video which brings forth the stereotypes of language that one indulges in while going about day to day life.

Shibani says labels are good if used for empowerment. She added: “Labels are great they say a lot about who we are and where we come from but not what we are capable of...Use them only to empower, not to divide.”
