Relief for bus commuters in the Capital
With temperatures soaring as high as 45 degrees, a heat wave has engulfed Delhi. Most people commuting by car or Metro are still spared the wrath of the sun, but those travelling by bus have to suffer while waiting at the bus shelter.
Keeping the plight of bus commuters in mind, Daikin India, as a part of its marketing initiative, has installed an AC bus stand in Lajpat Nagar.
Commuters at Lajpat Nagar are understandably quite happy. Millennials have gone ahead and shared pictures on social media platforms. People thanked Daikin India on Twitter.
Talking about the intiative, Kapil Bhatia, director, marketing and product engineering, Daikin India, said, “Investing in the community can never go wrong. This activity is a perfect example of disruptive marketing and innovative thinking, where a user voluntarily experiences our air-conditioners, enjoys the benefit in this scorching heat and goes home with a lifetime memory.”
Daikin India has monitored the response for a while now. In a few days, the initiative has managed to gain public recognition, with pleasantly surprised commuters sharing pictures on social media.
The company is also expecting the government’s support for this project. Daikin has plans to install more such AC bus stands at other places in the Capital.
