Reports of actor Chunky Pandey’s (right) daughter Ananya (above) gearing up for Bollywood have been doing rounds and while he doesn’t mind his daughter becoming an actor, there are some pearls of wisdom he would want to give her.

“I would like to tell her that it’s important that you don’t imitate anyone else’s success story. You have to make your own story, and I would love to be known as Ananya Pandey’s father,” says Chunky.

The 54-year-old actor had a discussion with Ananya, who recently finished her graduation. “Ananya finished her studies, and a couple of months back, she did tell me that she wants to get into films. Nowadays, you cannot tell your kids what to do. Infact, you have to listen to them. As a parent, give them great education and values and they will decide what to do in life,” says Chunky.

Meanwhile, his voice will be heard in an upcoming animated film, Hanuman Da Damdaar. He has done the voice over for a tourist guide. While Pahlaj Nihalani, the chief of Central Board of Film Certification has raised objection to the character of Hanuman having a colloquial language, Chunky feels that the film should be just understood and enjoyed. “People don’t know that Hanuman ji went to Lanka during his childhood also and he did the same thing, which he did when he had gone as a grown up for Sita ji. There is a message in the film that all should understand. The characters are speaking a modern language, which is entertaining. We want everyone to watch this movie and enjoy it,” he says.

Actor Freddy Daruwala (left) shot to instant fame soon after he entered Bollywood with Akshay Kumar-starrer Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014). Playing the role of the lead antagonist — head of sleeper cells — Freddy redefined the way villains looked on-screen. Later, he went on to play other grey characters in his films, such as, Force 2 (2016), Commando 2 (2017). However, the actor now wants to explore positive roles and is looking forward to play a lead soon.

“I want to essay roles, where the audience would love me. Playing a villain is appealing, but I would like to play positive characters too. As an actor, I don’t want to restrict myself,” says Feddy, who will once again play the lead antagonist in his upcoming Telugu film, Touch Chesi Chudu.

Meanwhile, the 33-year-old has been signed by filmmaker Vipul Shah for a three-film deal and is looking forward to start shooting for one of them, where he plays a parallel lead alongside actor Saif Ali Khan. A medical drama, the film is an adaptation of the Nicole Kidman-Colin Firth starrer Before I Go to Sleep. However, Freddy is tight-lipped about his role in the film. “I play a parallel lead in the film and we will start shooting for it in September. I think Vipul will be directing it,” says Freddy, adding that his association with Shah goes a long way. “Having worked together before, he believes in me and is keen on giving me more scope as an actor. He also feels that I can do more. Hence the three film deal, where I’m expected to play different and interesting characters.”
