John’s emotional message to the parents of a Manchester attack victim

Singer John Legend (right) has sent out an emotional message to the parents of one of the victims of the Manchester attack, Olivia Campbell. The 38-yearold musician had a video message for the late 15 -yearold’s aggrieved family, one of the victims when a suicide bomber detonated a bomb at singer Ariana Grande’s concert on May 22, reported Entertainm­ent Weekly.

“I can’t imagine the pain you’re going through. I have a young daughter and I can’t imagine the feeling you must be going through right now to have to bury your own daughter,” Legend said while addressing parents, Charlotte Campbell and Paul Hodgson on the television show Good Morning Britain.

The Beauty and the Beast singer, who a favourite of Olivia’s, said he was thankful to the family for playing his song All Of Me at Olivia’s memorial service. “I want to thank you for playing the song, and letting you know that I was so moved by your daughter’s performanc­e of the song and I want to send you as much love as I can send you from far away, as much of sympathy and condolence­s I can send you...” Legend said.

The artist added that the message will not make up for their loss but he said, “any love that we can send you, we want to send you right now”.

Olivia was among the 22 people who died in the suicide attack, which injured over 116. Worldwide sympathy and condolence­s have poured in for the unfortunat­e victims.

Grande, who suspended her Dangerous Woman Tour in the wake of the deadly attack, announced that she will soon come to Manchester once more for benefit concert, accompanie­d by top-billed artists, who have volunteere­d to perform for free.
