Suniel is confident about Ahaan’s debut; says he’s working hard

One of the most popular and versatile singers in India today — Kailash Kher (above) feels blessed to have come this far in a short stretch of time. The singer, who turned 44 earlier this month, is grateful to have amassed a huge fan following, in a career spanning 12 years.

“If you told me that 12 years ago that I would do more than 1000 concerts, sing more than 1000 songs, in India and abroad, I would have laughed and said it’s not possible,” says the singer, known for numbers such as Allah Ke Bande (2006) and Bam Lahiri (2011). “Whatever I have achieved is unique. You won’t find someone who has done so much, in this small time frame.”

According to earlier reports, Ahaan has signed his debut film with producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s production. “Ahaan is in stable hands with Sajid. I think Ahaan, along with such a good producer, make for a great combinatio­n to give a blockbuste­r,” says Suniel. The 55-year-old actor asserts that Ahaan is working on all aspects of becoming a complete entertaine­r. “Ahaan is a through a lot of hardships, surprises and miracles. I consider this award as part of those miracles,” says Kailash.

The singer shares that his packed concerts in the US have earned him honoury citizenshi­p from seven states, as they love to see him perform. “To have achieved all this in a short span... I never thought that something like this could happen to me in my wildest dreams,” says Kailash. trained actor and is working hard to give his best. With a career spanning two decades in the film industry, Suniel has been quite vocal about the importance of working with youngsters and giving the youngsters a chance. And with his new fitter avatar, he has got everyone’s attention.

“People who didn’t even know I existed, now come to me, tap their heart and say ‘sir respect’. They ask how I maintain my body. People in the gym take my advice and that is such a compliment,” adds Suniel.
